During the beta

Every plan is free for beta testers. Open Billing in your admin and pick any plan: it’s yours straight away, with no card and no charge, and you can switch between plans whenever you like. The prices below are what we plan to charge after launch; we’ll email you well before anything changes, and nothing is ever charged unless you choose to pay.

Yearly billing saves about 15%. Prices are in US dollars.

The Free plan is for trying FrameRoost out. It has no video, no custom domain, and shows a small “Powered by FrameRoost” badge in your site’s footer.

What counts toward storage

Everything your site keeps: each photo’s original plus its display copy and thumbnail, and each video’s original plus its web version and poster. The storage meter in your admin’s sidebar shows where you are.

Choosing or changing a plan

Only site owners can see billing. Open Billing in your admin:

• Choose a plan takes you to Stripe’s secure checkout. FrameRoost never sees or stores your card number.
• Change plan switches your subscription; the difference is prorated on your next invoice.
• Plans smaller than what your site already stores aren’t offered — delete some photos or videos first if you want to move down.
• Manage billing opens Stripe’s billing page, where you can update your card, see invoices or cancel.

Cancelling

When you cancel, your plan lasts until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then your site moves to Free. Nothing is deleted:

• Your photos and videos stay on your site, and existing videos keep playing.
• If you’re storing more than Free allows, new uploads are paused until you’re back under the limit or choose a plan again.
• A custom domain stops working until you’re back on a paid plan (visitors are sent to your frameroost.photos address instead).

When a payment fails

If a renewal payment fails, your admin shows a banner asking you to update your card under Manage billing. Stripe retries the payment for a while before the subscription ends.

Over your storage limit

Uploads pause when your site reaches its plan’s storage. Everything already on your site stays visible. Free up space by deleting photos or videos, or move to a bigger plan.
